Legal working group
Following the Council of CC for TLD RU’s resolution, a permanent legal working group was created on April 27, 2009.
The group’s core responsibilities include the following:
- monitor and study different initiatives targeted at legal regulations of Internet affairs in Russian Federation and other countries;
- along with other relevant persons and groups discuss and prepare different regulations related to the Internet governance;
- give legal advice and assess documents related to the domain name system functions in Russia;
- give legal advice and assess documents prepared by different committees (working groups) of CC for TLD RU;
- act as a legal advisory committee for Internet-related issues and Internet governance for different government agencies and committees.
